when i start plesk the memory disapears about 5-10 megs a second so in no time my server uses all its ram and then the load gets very high and I have no idea why its started doing this and i run top and sort by memory useage and its httpd using most all the ram.

any idea why this started doing it out of the blue? it already crashed my server once.

Linux usually uses all available RAM for caching purposes. So it may not be what's causing the high load average on your box.

You say httpd is being used most, setup server-status in the apache config file so you can see what sites on your server are doing.
