For you guys with cpanel/WHM using only 1 HD, how do you have your backups set? I had a backup dir setup to store all the user backups but the backup files would be owned by their respective users and count towards their disk space usage.

How do you guys have it set up? I know having the backups on the same HD as the /home dir is not a good idea and actually beats the purpose of having backups but for now it is the best i can do for my clients. I was thinking about downloading each months backup files locally as a added precaution. What are your thoughts?

1. create a new directory called 'backup' that's one solution.

2. another solution is to have your users maintain their own backups. Cpanel now has a feature where the user can backup his/her own data icon_wink.gif

3. get a server with a second hard drive is another solution or backup to another server completely
