My guess, based on what you said earlier about one with you standing in front of the racks... you'll probably be surprised at the reaction to this one.

*This one* speaks of what/who you guys are.

I'd say that's my two cents but I'm broke icon_wink.gif

I hate suits. I love bula shirts. BUT, I had to buy that $2k suit when we did a short road show to raise money about 2 years ago.

That picture is the third time I will have worn it!

I wanted to get Techie and Tight Wad in the pic but they refused to wear a suit. Oh well.
HeadSurfer
Yes, it is real. I wanted teh clip on but the photographer wanted a real one.
dsantos
Much nicer... much classier

yummy, servers!
This looks a lot more profesinal, just seeing all of those servers! If the vertical RackShack was a little smaller it would look like it was right on the rack...
yenne
Thumbs way up!!

Scrute the inscrutable, eff the ineffable.

excellent add, you deserve to show off, next time dumpt the suit, do it in jeans.

Much, much better!icon_wink.gif

Two thumbs up!

This presents a much more professional impression, and at the same time has kind of a down-home small business appeal. Looks much more like the kind of company RackShack really is!

The rows upon rows of servers in the picture and the "over 2000 served" really impresses me, and the NOC looks really CLEAN in the picture.

The two items that will really get people's attention are "Dedicated Server" and "$99" and those are the biggest words there, as they should be.

Well done!

***** 5 Stars, now that says professional..
I agree with Raqman, thats the box shot I like...

HeadSurfer: The ad says "powered by Ensim". Does that mean no more Plesk servers??
WebSales_James
HostCrest: no word on that yet. i, personally, would like to see a variety of cp's and os's, but this poses a problem with tech support as you can imagine. =)
EOC_Jason
MUCH Better than trying to pimp two chicks in bikini's...

This one actually looks professional and like you are serious about your business... not just some fly by night company trying to get business any way you can.

Really? I thought you guys knew EVERYTHING! icon_biggrin.gif

If the Plesk servers ARE going to go away, it would be nice to know before they're sold out. icon_smile.gif

Please don't advertise. We need the business.

Hi Headsurfer,
This is a much better ad.

So let me make some very, very picky subtle points.

1- Take your hand off the rack. The body language suggests that you need to lean on something. As a head surfer, you need to project that you can stand on your own two feet, like a leader, etc. I know this sounds subtle but it makes a dif.

2- You need to be more in front. I as a potential user want to look into your eyes and say, "Yeah, I think I can trust this guy."

3- You have a difficult problem because you don't want to overshadow the servers - and you don't want to make the ad an ego trip. So, I suggest you place yourself in the walkway in between the squares in front.

4- Your presence makes the ad. I got a hunch that you might be shy about putting yourself in it. The ad seems to show that. The shyness could portray a shyness about your company. That's why I suggest that you move closer. I as a potential customer want to see honesty and confidence in you.

I like the ad very much. I especially like the powerful but subtle rackshack logo on the top left.

Question: are you guys doing these ads yourselves or are you using an ad agency? If you are using an agency and this is the same agency that suggested your first ad, well.... 'nuff said.

I think this ad is a definite step in the right direction. It needs some refining and I think you'll have a powerful visual image to back up good copy and an excellent offer.

Hope this helps,

Ok, I think I found HeadSurfers inspiration for the first version of the ad.
