Ice me down baby! Don't know what you guys do different there than your old colo but my processer is running between 3 - 5 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday.. actually, it's running 10 degrees cooler than it was yesterday and 3 - 5 cooler than the old average..

Currently running at 30deg C which is nice man!

It was a pain in the arse getting moved, and getting moved was something I'd have avoided with a plague, had I known it was coming before renting a server here.. but man..

If this is an indication of things to come... You go girl!

Cooool me baby!cool.gif

Note to the people getting moved over the next few days... Sit back and be patient.. don't have a heart attack over it.. I saw a lot of panic and confusion in the chat room last night but really... just walk away from the box and let it happen. "A watched pot never boils" is true in this case.

I was in the first batch to be moved.. (box was shut down almost exactly at 11:00 central time) slightly over 3 hrs later we were humming at the new DataCenter and all was well.. No data loss.. orderly shutdown and start up..

I'm sure that as they crew does a few more batches, they will get the downtime shaved closer to HS's 45 minute "best case" figure.. but even at 3 hrs.. it's not that awfully bad..

I hadn't checked it at the old location, but I just looked at mine now and it's at 27 degrees -- that sounds pretty good! icon_smile.gif
RaQMan
i'd wait till all the raqs are racked before settling on the temp,

it's probably all alone at the moment and got no other raqs to cuddle icon_biggrin.gif

I guess we'll see, it's still running several degrees cooler even with all that have been moved over so far.

One of the techs mentioned last night in chat that it was considerably cooler over there than at the colo.

They're still pretty snuggly icon_smile.gif 31 servers per side so it's surrounded by 61 other servers. icon_smile.gif

I figured so.. The blurbs for the new center did mention good AC.. I'm sure that will be very good for the machinery!

Are the raq's in enclosed racks with direct ac ducts or sitting in open racks??

Reason I ask.. I feel a draft and need my blanket
