I want to upgrade the zend optimizer to the newest version.. doing thru build apache in cpanel does not give me the new version..

so downloaded the new version from zend itself..

now I know the commands to install it. BUT I do not know how to uplad a file to the server.. ftp - SSH?

and then I have no clue where to put it once I get there..

Anyone want to give me step by step for a total newbie?

Just SSH into your server and type "wget http://www.domain.com/filename.tar.gz" and it will download right to to that directory.
