Hi folks,

I;m about to setup a thwart(ooohh I've spent some cash for a change) cert on a sub domain to act as a vault for SSL users.
sofar I've requested another ipaddress to add to the server so I can run the domain in ip rather than name based.

but what do you do with the second ipaddress(r in my case 4th ipaddess) do you put the address in ipaliasing in plesk and then setup the domain on the ipaddress? and then setup the cert the normal way thru the cert button.

I'd just like the voice of reassurance from someone who's dun it b4.

Boomer.

You would normally alias the ip address and once that is done create your domain/subdomain using ip based instead of name based hosting, Once that is set you should create your certificate following instruction on install. You may have to restart the server.

BTW do you know you can get a free certificate from freessl.com
