Paysystems appears to be out of biz. Their www.paysystems.com domain has been down for hours, as well as their payment system. Email to support bounces back. Anyone else having this problem ? Are these guys still in business ?

Uhm. That's a bit of a bummer. Though hardly surprising considering their servers are Microslosh based.... icon_sad.gif

They're up here, now.

I've used Paysystems for over a year and this is the first time there has been any problems with them. I'm a happy camper in spite of the short downtime last week.

They're up and it took me, when I tested it, 1 minute and 12 seconds to move from screen to screen when going through the payment system. I JUST got started, went with PS via the recommedations here and the timing couldn't be more perfect. I can't deal with this. This won't work. Not to mention they don't have 24x7 support. A company that size only available during business hours.

That's ludicrous. I'm moving off IMMEDIATLY to someone else and at this point, wouldn't recommend them to my ex-mother-in-law.

What bothers me even more, is it appears they have TWO problems. When their payment system goes down do does their main website and their email bounces.

OK, so I see they have a network problem. Then when I CAN get there I get database errors.

It would appear to me that they don't have any distribution. For example, from the onset, I've built that if my servers go down, customers can still contact me via email. Otherwise, how do you inform anyone of a timeframe to repair your problem.

It appears to me that PS hasn't thought through much of what they are doing, and offer TERRIBLE support and customer service. Terrible as in, none existant.

Even if I had been with them and service was great I'd have to ask them what the hell was going on. Guess I will put that paypal 'backup' method of payment in there after all. And thats it too...you'd think they'd email there clients, or on their site, when a client logs in they would explain the situation.

I don't know......I'm very wary of these guys right now.

DDOS Attack
Distributed Denial Of Service. PaySystems was subject to this type of attack yesterday morning where its servers were intentionally flooded with invalid requests for information. The normal response from a server under these conditions is to block ALL users from accessing it. This is not a breach of security, and in no way was any data affected.

We have identified the party responsible for this, and will deal with this deplorable act as swiftly as possible. If for any reason you still experience difficulty accessing your MCP, please visit https://iba.paysystems.com or https://ima.paysystems.com.

Found in the MCC news. I can live with that, at least they're honest.

They are up for me. I have been using them for over a year, and the past weeks outages have given me just enough reason to jump ship for my own merchant account. I went with www.modernauthorize.com and picked up a leased copy of modernbill. I'm still setting everything up, so I can't really judge yet. Everything has gone smoothly so far.

The shopfront is up but the actual payment pages are down - at least for me.

Try https://secure.paysystems1.com/

Yes that seems to work. Thanks! Not very professional of them IMO.

That's why everyone should just use PAYPAL, like me! icon_biggrin.gif

I use Paypal as well - you can choose which one you prefer. I took Paysystems of for a couple of months just to see if it made a difference and ... it did. Big time. During the time I only had Paypal my sales were down at least 30-40%.

Paypal have done a great job alienating themselves to non-US citizens by the obvious differences they make, but that is another discussion.

I've never seen anything like this...They have to have people bailing on them like it's nobodies bidness...today they're up, down....all over the place...my links don't work then they do...
