Dear sirs,
I have 2 servers and now running Ensim control panel in Rackshac.
I plan to buy a new server and i think about install cpanel in this.
My question is if it is easy to manage a cpanel server from root access.
Some people say that cpanel it is not easy to manage because have bugs, and need manage from the datacenter.
So it is there any person who have manage in the past other panels (ensim plesk etc) and can inform me if it is more dificult to manage cpanel?
Thanks for the info and sorry for my bad English.
Regards,
Christos

1. cpanel has an ensim conversion tool. You can either install cpanel on top of your ensim server and convert accounts that way, or you can copy them to another server.
2. Managing a server is never an easy task, cpanel is not a management tool, however it helps make the job a lot, and I meant a lot easier. Yes, there are bugs in cpanel, there are bugs in any software. With the nightly cpanel update, they recently introduced 3 new types of updates, if you are worried about bugs then stick with the stable release, we have had no problem ourselves with the edge releases.
cPanel will update your server software for you, and they have other downloadables that will update things such as apache, php and there is even a virus scanner pluggin. Security and programs updates are checked on a nightly basis ( unless you select otherwise ) and those are installed automatically.
I honestly swear by cpanel, I love it, and nothing in my opinion comes close to what it has done for us or our business.
Cpanel is probably one of the easiest of control panels to use, both client side and server admin side.
Well, thats my 2 cents.

Well, I was always used to CPanel. Got in first contact with Ensim when I got my server here. I firstly thought well, I need to get used to ensim...
After a week I changed back to CPanel. It's much better, especially if it comes to update system software...I think that's worth the price I pay more.

My first server had Ensim on it. I removed Ensim and installed Cpanel, and haven't looked back since. Ensim is nice too, don't get me wrong, but for convenience, for both the user and the admin, it's well worth it. As of this post, I won't use anything but Cpanel.
