Full Version: WARNING: Restarting PLESK
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk
Mart
When any of you restart PLESK from TELNET using the following command:

/usr/local/psa/rc.d/psa restart

Make sure you stay logged in about 30 seconds to a minute *after* the command has *fully completed*. Failure to do so will stop *ALL* HTTPS (SSL) services / sites, including access to the PLESK control panel which is on HTTPS port 8443 by default.

Ah! That explains why my httpd suddenly disappeared yesterday after I reconfigured Plesk. It's a relief knowing there was a reason for it...

Oh good... I thought it was only me having this problem. icon_smile.gif

When you run the command it's connected to your tty which is now gone that you've logged out. If you want to make sure the command is still running when you log out, try

nohup command

WOW! Thanks!

That got me going again..... I had a ticket open for the past day or two.... you should think it's the 1st thing support would try when you tell them:

I cant access our Plesk control panel anymore, because our server doesnt seem to be listening to port 8443 anymore.

I had restarted a couple of times without problems, but then it went wrong somewhere. Even "init 6" didn't bring it back to life.
