I've asked this sveral times ... How much will cost us the renewal?
CrazyGuy
I just installed my purchased key over the demo version and it says the license never expires.

Thanks for the clarification, Greg!

Okay, here we are, August 2003, it says my license has expired.

>> It will then present you with the option to reactivate the license. Clicking "reactivate" will check into Urchin licensing server and reactivate the license at no charge. <<

Guess what. It didn't work.

The following is the procedure to request a new license and reactivate your installation of Urchin.

Please open a ticket online requesting a new Urchin license. Please provide the ip address of the server in question and
the username/password/port for the current Urchin install.

Rackshack will send you a new key via email. After you have received this key the following commands will have to be preformed on the server as root:

- Open up a command shell window on the server running Urchin

- Change directory to the "util" directory/folder of the Urchin distribution (eg: /usr/local/urchin4/util).

- Run the following commands:

./uconf-driver action=set_parameter recnum=1 ct_serial=0
./uconf-driver action=set_parameter recnum=1 ct_license=0

- Log in to the Urchin web interface as "admin" and select the
"Activate pre-purchased license" link; then simply type in the
new Rackshack-supplied Urchin serial code when prompted.
