Hey All,

I've been tinkering with the Red Hat RPMs and I've successfully patched and upgraded the RPMs and SRPMs to provide the latest software versions.

Why? Because I think if you're going to use the RPM package management system, you should stick to it, and to see people compiling PHP directly without using RPMs around here just looks like bad news to me - and it's certainly not good system management sense in my opinion.

I've currently made RPMs and SRPMs for:

- Apache 1.3.27
- MM 1.2.1
- MySQL 3.23.53a
- PHP 4.2.3
- LibMcrypt 2.5.3
- Mod_SSL 2.8.12

I've put the RPMs and SRPMs online for all of the above programs at http://devel.hostcentral.net.au

Please note that I've built the above software with the latest versions of all packages available for Red Hat 7.3 plus the packages above (ie. Apache has been built with MM 1.2.1 and PHP has been built with LibMcrypt 2.5.3).

I plan on updating and adding to this list as time permits and demand dictates.

Please leave any questions / comments / etc below.

Oh yeah, and sorry about the site they're sitting on, it's a little rushed.

Enjoy!
