HI!!!!!!

I install openssh-3.1p1-6.i386.rpm, and i think that its all right, i.e:

[root@www ssh]# rpm -qa | grep -i ssh
openssh-3.1p1-6
openssh-server-3.1p1-6
openssh-clients-3.1p1-6

But when i start ssh, say that:

[root@www init.d]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd start
Generating SSH1 RSA host key: [FAILED]

Any ideas?

Thanks.

what OS is this on... redhat 7.1 or redhat 7.2 ???

regarless of which it is..I do believe I can get ssh running on your plesk....but I dont' think I can do it without loggin in to your box..

anyway...you can pm me about it if you wish...or you can just do this..

uninstall the current ssh
cd /to/directory/where/you/installed/ssh
rpm -e openssh*
then wget new copies...
then rpm -Uvh openssh*
then you should be able to start it with no problems..
