Is it true that to Enable PConnect on MYSQL is alot more efficient than increasing the maximium amount of connections? I have a server that is using MySQL alot, it is the Intel Celeron 1.3ghz. If it is better, can someone please teach me how to enable it, or if not what is the best alternative?

Persistant connections are only useful when the script is designed to utilise this feature.
