Full Version: FrontPage Not Working

I have other FrontPage sites on the RaQ4 working fine. I added a new domain to the server, and to the hosts file on my PC so I could access it on the RaQ. I added FrontPage extensions like normal. I was able to open the site in FrontPage no problem on the server with the domain name as I had done in the past. The problem is, the site doesn't appear to have FrontPage extensions active as far as the site functions. I do not get any error message from FrontPage that the extensions are not there, they're just not working.
I removed and reenabled the extensions. No joy. I tried "Tools" Recalculate Hyperlinks. No joy. I created a new sub-domain as a test with a domain that was already on the server. Same problem. I'm trying standard FrontPage functions like a FrontPage include file, or FrontPage form. As far as the include page, I can see it in the FrontPage editor, and when I click on preview it shows up. But when I go to http://test.domain.com/ the include file isn't included. When I try to add a form to a page,
The standard file is in /usr/local/frontpage as site.domain.com_80.cnf
The standard .htaccess file for FrontPage is in there.
I'm at a loss on where to look on the server for what the problem might be.

Sorry to follow up to my own post, at least I was able to get the forms working, but still no joy on the FrontPage include file, so obviously FP extensions are working so it seems to be a limited problem.

For future reference, I clicked on Tools and Page Options and under the Compability tab, the box for "Enabled with Microsoft FrontPage Extensions" was not checked. I never had to check that before as I recall. I checked it and I was then able to configure the form properly to send me email, (which worked), which was my major concern as the client will need to setup various forms.

The pain in the butt is still the include file for navigation as it's going to be tough to teach a newbie client to make sure that all links in the included navigation menu file, (by using .shtml instead), will need to be referenced from "/dir/file.shtml"

Any luck fixing your FrontPage problems?

See my post, if you have any insite I would appreciate it.

I use FP2000 for all my sites but without FP extensions (my old host charged extra for them and I'm mean:D ) But I don't have any problem using an 'include' page (my drop-down menus for all pages on the site are in one) so they don't NEED extensions installed. So perhaps the problem isn't with FP extensions:confused:
