when the cpanel license (external) is stopped... should that affect pureftp as well? I am not able to login using it. I have forced a user password change using the root admin through ssh to make sure i had the right password.

if for some reason I am not able to get in now due to some wierd cpanel deal. How would i add a user manually?

thank you

I actually do think it might break email and I believe FTP. Just ask TP to reactivate your license and you should be set.

If ftp is in fact not working then even if you do just a normal adduser it probably won't work. I normally keep the licenses updated icon_smile.gif

It does break ftp & email.
I asked over at the cpanel forums where the admin feels that I have no right to ask for support on the operation of the open source applications that were working fine before cpanel installation. The only way they said to get rid of it is to reinstall cpanel.

I moved all but one domain off which needs to remain. Any idea how to get ftp & outgoing emails for system notifications working? I do not even need sendmail.
