Havent used cpanel in awhile. Just got a new server and I am trying to add new users under cpanel and the domains all come up as root. What am I missing here? Checking the manual and nothing.

I know, its a nooby question. any help appreciated.

What do you mean "the domains all come up as root"?

Do you mean when you list domains, the accounts are owned by root?
Or when you create accounts they're created as root being the owner?
Or ... ?

I believe the name you are looking at is the reseller name. Chances are you have not added a reseller account, therefore the default reseller is root, which is perfectly ok.

When I add a domain, it comes up as owned by root, which is strange. All domains when added are showing up as being owned by root. I change ownership and even add them as a reseller and the end user can log in, but their are absolutely no options to setup email, ftp, etc.

If I remember correctly, you have to setup permissions in WHM as far as what clients will have access to (Email, FTP, etc)...I'm not sure where its at..I'll have to check and get back to you.

Its a option on the left side though! lol
