I just get a new rackshack server, here is the info:

WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-R25
RedHat Enterprise 3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

I'm installing a photo modules that require PHP with GD support; so I'd like to know the correct way to compile PHP with GD in cPanel.

Is rebuild Apache with GD on WHM the same as compiling PHP with GD?

I would apprecaite any advice. Thank you.

Yes it is, just select GD and then recompile apache and php. You can also use /scripts/easyapache via ssh which is the same exact thing.

I just installed GD 2.0.28 without any errors but when I run a test utility it shows I don't have GD installed.

I did not get any errors while running the installation of GD.
I think I've read somewhere that I need to recompile PHP to include gd but can't find anywhere how to do that.
Sorry if this has been answerred elsewhere but I searched and searched and can't find the answer.
I run PH 4.1.2

Thanks

Simply run /scripts/easyapache like I said before and select one with GD support.

I tried finding that but when I do a locate it doesn't show. I have:

OS: Linux 2.4.20-18.7

You posted this in the cPanel how-to forum which is meant for guides not questions. I just assumed you were running cpanel since that is where you asked but apparently you are not. I am not familiar with upgrading php for plesk.

I'm sorry the moment I posted my last post I realised I was in the wrong section. I'll try in the Plesk area, thanks for your quick responses.
