This is not a major problem but just an annoying one.

I've just in the last week shifted to The Planet on a dual XEON server.
The website has been shifted over from a Lunarpages account (same setup but on a shared server)

Now my niggly issue:

When I put www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum in the address bar of IE7 or Firefox the link becomes http://laptopvideo2go.com/forum (ie the www is removed)

When I put in www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/ in the address bar of IE 7 or Firefox the link becomes http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/ (the www stays)

This only happens with our server.
What could be casuing this ?

It's got me quite beaten as to why/what.

Any help appreciated.

BTW the server is awesome, no looking back to shared hosting or Lunarpages icon_smile.gif

FYI,

Cured, The Planets DNS Zone at play here.
Once I removed all the zones and pointed to the dedicated IP via enom it fixed the above bug.

The TP DNS zones caused all sorts of other issues in the end as well.

If only I knew then what I know now icon_smile.gif

Still the Dual Xeon server is great, very good bang for buck

Welcome to the club! I'm glad to see you got it all figured out.

Congrats on moving from shared hosting to a dedicated server. It is definitely a big step, let us know if you have any questions.
