I am in the process of migrating servers. I have already moved one site over, but the others have not been moved, yet. I have set up all of the sites on the new server, including DNS (although, I DID change the DNS to point to the old server).
However, mail from the site on the new server is being routed to the (inactive) sites on the new server, rather than those on the old server. I believe this has something to do with mailertable, but I am not sure how to fix this. I know I could delete all of the domains and only add them when I'm ready to move them, but I'd rather not have to. Is there another way around this? Thanks, Alden |

In case anyone is wondering, I've gone into my ensim control panel and removed email functionality from the sites that have not yet been migrated.
This removes them from the mailertable.db and mailertable.virtual_host |

I'm still having a problem. The mail is trying to send, but it repeats 26 times, and then I get an error (too many hops). Here's a snippet from my log files:
Oct 20 15:12:55 sendmail[3832]: l9KJCtj6003832: from=<alden@DOMAIN MOVED TO MY NEW SERVER>, size=2840, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<000301c8134c$e322cc90$5e01a8c0@AldenLap>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=[69.94.12.4] Oct 20 15:12:55 sendmail[3832]: l9KJCtj6003832: to=<test@DOMAIN STILL ON OLD SERVER>, delay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=32840, stat=queued Oct 20 15:12:55 sendmail[3831]: l9KJCaXu003820: to=<test@adagio60.com>, delay=00:00:19, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=122510, relay=mail.DOMAIN STILL ON OLD SERVER. [OLD SERVER MAIL IP], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (l9KJCtj6003832 Message accepted for delivery) Any thoughts? I hadn't wanted to have to rip out the sites on the new server and re-import them when I'm ready to migrate, but it looks like I may have to. Thanks, Alden |
