Does anyone have any suggestion/advice on tracking down players using this hack to spam games with vehicles, etc?
Simple question, no simple answer. |

Easy. Download your pb SS when it happens. This hack is a multi hack and usually the idiot has neon skins or a black sky and you can spot them.

We have not been able to detect this hack with PB SS's.
Our servers do stream PB and and MBL as well. Is there a way to manually take SS of an individual BF2 when running Cortex? |

***snip*** Is there a way to manually take SS of an individual BF2 when running Cortex? The easiest way is to use BF2RA --> http://www.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=44720 -------------------- ![]() |

Okay..thanks.
One last question about the screenshots. Currently our server takes them automatically, and in a very short time (few days) there are 1000's of screenshots in the folder. Is it OK to disable automatic SS on a ranked server, and just take them manually thru BF2RA? Any info or links would be appreciated. |

I would recommend not disabling it. If you want your server known as hacker friendly then be my guest and turn them off. I catch more people with the random SS than by PB. Download your SS every day to every other day and just run through them. Will take probably 5-10 minutes at the most.
I have tried to use BF2RA to take SS of players while they are in game. You could also use the PB Web Admin Panel. It does not always work unfortunately. -------------------- |

No. But if the cars are Humvees then the hacker is on the USMC side. Same thing for China/MEC cars are from a player on the MEC/China team.
That will help narrow down your search for the idiot. -------------------- |

what settings do you sue for your automatic screenshots? How often does yours erver take them?
I can't see going thru 5000 screenies in ten minutes, let alone downloading them in that amount of time. FYI...thanks again for the replies. |

Mine takes SS of players every 5-20 minutes with a SS rate of 2. After a long night of gaming there is about 1000-2000 SS. The ideal thing is to look at them daily but at least do it as often as you can. Also if you need them they are there. You tell PB how many SS to save (svss floor and ceiling). Ours caps out at 2000 SS so our SS are numbered 0001 to 2000. After that it just overwrites the old ones.
To download them, log into FTP and navigate to the pb/svss folder. Then download all of the png files. -------------------- |

Most of them haven't even applied for the standard 2142CC privs unless that's changed. Like Doc said, it doesn't always work but at least it's in a familiar package. |
