Pliz help with named, bind named Options

Sounds like you have a bad dns configuration for your servers hostname or may have improperly changed a record. I got this once when i tried to edit the named.conf file. If you have any typographical errors it will fail to start. check your named.conf file for syntax errors. or as it's complaining about a bad dotted quad make sure you entered a IP address in correctly and didn't leave any .'s out

Also if you can check your /etc/hosts file and make sure you entered the server hostname and ip properly
