My servers (hosted at ThePlanet) have the following lines in /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 67.19.1.10 nameserver 67.19.0.10 which uses ThePlanets name servers. They have been this way for years ... and every once in a while, I see some slowness in resolving ... and I'm seeing that again, most noticable with reverse lookups for stuff like ssh login, sendmail, etc. Seeing this on more than one machine and seems to have been going on for a good part of today. It does eventually work ... but curious if anyone else is seeing this and/or should I be doing something else? Thanks in advance, alek P.S. I don't see any reason to run DNS myself. |
