hey there everyone,

ok let me first tell you what i'm doing,ok i have rented an unmanaged linux server,i want to use it for call of duty i want to be able to setup an ftp for the redirect of maps where the players download any new maps that i put up but i don't know how to achieve this can someone give me a detailed guide on how to do this please...kind chaps and chapesses...sweet a bit of grovelling there but still.

also off topic need some guidance on what ports to open and close for call of duty? any guidance would be greatfully appreciated.

i have installed apf for the firewall but like i said i dont know which ports to turn on/off or how to turn them on/off so i would be forever in ones debt if there is some kind person out there who could help me.ppppplease

thank you very much in advance

if you use a linux server, figure out if you use yum or up2date... Then just type "up2date vsftpd", or "yum install vsftpd".
