Hi

I'm having problems with urchin on my server - it's stopped recording data for one of my sites. I've tried to get support from The Planet, but the staff member assigned does not even know how to log into urchin, even though she was given the correct login information. Urchin was installed by The Planet for me, it was fixed almost a year back by The Planet when the same kind of problem happened - but this time for some reason the person on the case does not know what to do. Nothing has changed with urchin since the last time it was accessed and fixed by The Planet.

Can someone please help out here - the ticket number is: 1632286PLNT

Thanks

Frank

I'm afraid you've caught the forum on a slow night when most of the powerful people are not active on the forums.

You might want to PM "Klaude" or "Brooke_Marketting" for some help, but I'm not sure if they check on the weekends.

Good luck to you! smile.gif

Thanks - it's just frustrating that this simple issue can't be resolved easily as it has been in the past. What concerns me most about what happened was the person didn't even know where to log into the admin of Urchin and kept on asking me for passwords that were already listed in my orbit account under the passwords area and escalation procedures - something I would expect any tech suppport to know.

Not sure if you are aware of this, but urchin actually got bought out by google a few months ago. You might want to look into either getting another piece of software that does the same thing or hop on board google's implementation of it (which I use, and LOVE)

Hopefully the Google fans won't poopoo me too much for this, but I like a local stat tracking system versus something totally owned and operated by a 3rd party.

my sentiments exactly...

As for urchin I have been plannign to phase it out since it wont work correctly with RHEL4 let alone is it supported by the planets people- asked questions and got completely inaccurate responses where my questions were completely misunderstood. But alas these things i guess happen.

PS: It's called Google Analytics now. (frown. it seems to be a bit biased at times.)
