I am trying to install mySQL 5 on a unix server that has mySQL 4 already installed.
at the begining i didn't change the .SOCK file. so i guess mySQL 4 is the only running one. how can i redo the installation to use mySQL 5 and mySQL 4 on the same server. Please be explicit in your commands, i don't have any experience with Unix. Thanks |

Can you shoot us some more information? What Linux Distro are you running? Does your server have a control panel?
