Is it possible to connect multiple servers to a single unmetered connection?
If lets say you need multiple http and mysql dedicated servers, can you somehow build a network behind a single unmetered connection instead of buying unmetered boxes for each one? |

No, you cannot do this. Not only do the Matrixtreme networks and premium networks not mix, but crossconnections and prohibited on the unmetereds.

What if you have an unmetered http box and another box thats dedicated for sql, you can't connect them up without all the queries counting towards your bandwidth totals?

You can do nothing with an unmetered box other than use it as it's intended. No upgrades, no cross-connects, nothing.
Of course, if you havw two unmetered boxes, one for http and one for sql, then there would no bandwidth totals to worry about! -------------------- As old and crotchety as ever

You can link two servers together but they must be of the same class and located near each other. Then have them install a cross over cable or a switch to connect both machines to access each other via the secondary NIC. I believe there is a cost for the cable or switch but it is quite low.
However, the two machines would still be accessible from outside the network. You just have to make provisions to corner off all undesired connections. -------------------- Batch Image Processors - http://www.batchimage.com

It (server cross-connects) cost 25 dollars per month last time I checked.
