So we finally ordered a TC server to replace our current SM server. Unfortunetly, we ordered it last Friday so it didn't show up till yesterday. But now it just says:
Hardware Status: Ready for software (AP) It has an IP but the Console says its offline w/o any additional network info or user accounts for either DRAC or Windows... How long do I have to wait for an OS? Or am I missing a step here? When we ordered from SM, they didn't close the provisioning ticket till it was all done ready for me to log into.. -------------------- Sieb

Ready for Software means the hardware has been put together but the software is not installed. That could mean OS or Urchin or Helm or whatever. Give them a call if you want to know.

Thats what I thought.. But about how long would it take to load the OS? I thought they had rapid "real time" deployment now..

If the install is done by our automated systems then it usually takes only a few hours to install and configure your software.

I finally got it all straightened out. But.. DRAC didn't work, and the server was setup with RAID0 instead of RAID5, prompting another reinstall (this time it only took half an hour). But, the turnaround on my tickets was about 30 mins so I am pleased.
Is the the Orbit Remote Management page supposed to work yet? Mine shows the temp meters, but nothing else. It just says my server is Offline. -------------------- Sieb

It should be 100% working. Please open a ticket regarding this and we'll see whats up.
