I've just purchased the P4 2.8 ghz to host my friends and I's game servers, and I was wondering, once I finally get my GSP up and running, is it possible to pay extra and be upgraded to a dual xeon, or do we have to cancel this one and reorder?

Thanks,
Joseph Blossom

You will most likely have to order the new server and cancel your old.

Also if you plan on starting a GSP, Please see thread: http://forums.servermatrix.com/viewtopic.php?t=6978

You woud have to order a new Xeon and transfer everything over to it. As long as we recieve a cancelation request for your old server 7 days prior to the end of the month you will not be billed another month for it. If you have any additional questions please email Sales or give us a call. We will be happy to go over all of your options with you.

I've already ran a GSP, but, I sold it a year or so ago, and I have interest to start one up again.

My previous game server company was quite nice, and it is still around, but I'd rather not disclose the name of it for legal reasons... (contracts that I've signed and such)

I honestly was never a customer of The Planet while I ran my last game server company, I always had plans to offer it as a location, but never decided to, even though many friends that were owners of GSP's were customers of TP.

Hopefully this will be a good experience, and we'll see how it all goes. I have a few more things I need to set straight before I start selling game servers again, and I hope to have it up and running soon.

The company I was running last november we actually closed and reformed under a new name. However unlike this first time where we rushed into it with little planning this time we took about 4months planning it before we did anything.

They did, but it was six months, and that six months has passed. So, I'm free to do what I'd like.
