Im sorry i did not see a sponsorship or general section. My name is Lestat, me and some of my cal main friends in Call of Duty have started a new team called Team Accuracy. We are a very skilled, dedicated, and active team that attends many events that involve COD. We are already sponsored for everything but a gaming server. We are willing to promote your product through our upcomming website, ircchannel, and events that we attend in the US. On top of that we will give you free advertisement right in our channel #teamaccuracy. If interested , please pm Lestat or Temple on irc @ #teamaccuracy. or lestat_cod@hotmail.com

Thank You.

Oh in that case, my clan, NW1AD needs a gaming server. Could you wonderful people at i365 sponsor it for us?

Dream on pal, it's not going to happen. icon_rolleyes.gif

You are more likely to get things like webhosting when asking for sponsorship.
When it comes to game servers, why don't your members pool their resources and rent a game server together?
Gameservers are just too expensive to give away like that.

That's because they don't give sponsorships.

ThePlanet has tens of thousands of paying customers, giving away a free server to a clan that probably won't get them any customers isn't a way to do business.

You will probably have a slightly better chance at asking one of the GSP that are on this forum.

A lot of immaturity here! Fyi, a lot clans in call of duty get free servers if they attend events. My past clan Purge has a free server. We have been offered a free server just now from 4velocityservers. So for those of you flamming it can't happen you should dream on and try a little harder, GG!

See you got your free game server. Most people sponsor COD clans because CPU usage is so low it's not that big of a deal. Getting BFV sponsor ship is probably more difficult.

Well, why not take baby steps if you are unable or unwilling to pay for a server. I would think it be easier to request for a free slot then the entire server. I know you promise publicity and all that but is there anything which could back your words on a long term contract ? Remember that the one that sponsor you will be taking the largest portion of the risks element and be responsible for all your actions.

Like the rest said, it be better to pool your resources together and rent your own machine. Or during your visits to the conventions and so on, ask for sponsorship from people who knows your reputation.

Since you mentioned that publicity would be in the IRC channel, you might want to mention which and talk more about the channel such as number of members, demographics, purchasing power and so on. The numbers there need to be convincing enough to generate at least sufficient income to make it worthwhile for someone to fork out the money to sponsor you.

Well since it's games I'm guessing most of them will be kids who probably won't beable to buy servers.

Yeah Paul, that probably makes sense.. My brain is definitely not working now.

I guess since he said that anyone who attends events would get free servers, he should consider attending them and getting his servers there.

Just a thought, why don't we all do that. How taxing is it to attend an event such as those, the benefits of a free server for life is an enticing thought icon_wink.gif It sure put a lot of GSP and i365 in a lot of trouble of that is gonna happen.

I think you're a bit confused. ServerMatrix/i365/ThePlanet don't rent game servers like the provider you mentioned. They only rent WHOLE physical servers, which can run multiple game servers.

It's like you are asking ReconGamer for five or ten free servers in exchange to mention them in a small IRC channel. It's a bit of an insane demand.

He means you get a free game server instance. Which are probably only worth 10 or 20 dollars per month in actual cost-to-run.

Ah, if it is just $10 or $20 worth then it sure wouldn't be much of a hassle to rake some a couple of dollars from all the clan members allowances and rent that.

That's not quite what I mean. The actual (Using CS as my example) servers go for easily as much as an entire dedicated servers for larger size ones. The size they're probably giving away (12 player pub) costs, for example, 45$/mth at ReconGamer.

You can run many such CS servers on one dedicated server... The actual cost of hosting that server is probably 10 to 20$ per month, without support.
