Hi,
Ist there a tutorial or some manuals in how to upgrade to the lates version of PHP and MySQL in a VPS 10? Is it the same thing like a normal and private server? Or does it required special configuration in the virtuozzo server? |

QUOTE (X-Korpio) Hi,

Is it the same thing like a normal and private server? Or does it required special configuration in the virtuozzo server? Count me in on this, too. This is the EXACT question I have, I've got a VPS here, and I desperately want to upgrade the MySQL to at least MySQL 4.1; I can probably live with the PHP level at 4.3.x. It doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy that this has been asked a couple of weeks ago with no response, tho. |

Ev1 does mostly dedicated servers, not so many VPS servers. I wrote a guide awhile back which can be used to source compile php in plesk. This *should* work but try it at your own risk:
http://eth0.us/plesk-php I am unsure about mysql off the top of my head unfortunatly. -------------------- John W My personal website with many free security and linux how-to's! Tss -- Live Support! I really only need a VPS server and I like ev1 servers but the PHP and MySQL versions are just way outdated. It is a shame.
Any ideas for the Linux gurus out there? Ideally I would be able to run an up to date web server with latest Apache/PHP/MySQL - I don't care too much about the RHLE or the Plesk versions. Thanks, -------------------- |
