Dear EV1Servers.NET,

I don't compare EV1Servers with 1and1. And I know EV1Servers focus on DEDICATED HOSTING!

But with my money, I can't use dedicated hosting now. I'm looking for the cheaper plan for my host. And I see that 1and1 has many plans with reasonable prices for sharing hosting, while EV1Servers has not, especially in Windows hosting (I'm looking for one...).

Your plans are really poor and expensive for me! I wonder if EV1Servers can dis-count or open the new plan for anyone like me, loving to use your services!

Thanks you!

Hello,

I am pretty sure there are literally 100s of hosting companies that are EV1 customers and may make you better offer. If Ev1 will lower their hosting prices - they will probably loose us (dedicated server) as customers.

Don't forget you get what you pay for. EV1's prices are actualy very reasonable for shared hosting. If you are going to complain about the price maybe you don't need a site.

You can always go with other companies that are cheap but don't expect to get support or realiability and dont whine when you don't get it.

Hi TSS-grunt,

I understood about it for a long time before. I think you should look at the time of my thread and replies before answer. You waste my time!

You really answered your own question, ev1 focuses on dedicated hosting. From a company perspective there is a LOT more money in the dedicated server market then there is the shared hosting market. Shared hosting requires dealing with end users that often ask a lot of very simple questions that require a lot of staff to help work on. By focusing only on 1 area ev1 is able to better concentrate their tech support and provide a better product to everybody else. I think that ev1 is doing the right thing by concentrating on what they do best and letting other companies do what they do best!

I remember calling 1and1 when I was checking into hosts...OMG, very unprofessional, could barely even understand the guy that I talked to (he talked with a very heavy, almost unintelligible lisp and mumbled, ALOT!! 'mumble, mumble, grumble "nope, but", mumble mumble'), he couldn't answer most of my questions, and in general was pretty clueless about his company, and webhosting in general. Some of the things I asked him about, I even had to explain to him!! Definitely not a good representation of a company that I would want to trust my sites with!!

In the end I called around to several...it doesn't matter how cheap they are... check their quality and expertise. let THAT guide you instead.

Yeap. Their tech support is in India, from what I heard, and they also oversell their services a lot.

An honest mistake - kind of ironic and seemingly contradictory though that you want really cheap hosting yet you value your own time so greatly.
