FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 16, 2004
Free Cpanel FTP Backup script by WebHostGear WebHostGear.com, a server administration and hosting tutorial site, is offering a free ftp backup script for Cpanel based servers that can replace the existing remote FTP backup feature used by default on Cpanel systems. “We grew frustrated by the problems with Cpanel’s built in remote backup system, so I decided to write a custom script to do what I wanted,” says Steven Leggett, owner of WebHostGear.com. “Now the remote FTP backup can be scheduled whenever you like and you can also specify which local folder, remote server and remote folder to backup to. In our case we had one central remote backup server which all our others production servers sent data backups to every day. With our custom script the backup server can have a folder for each production server, keeping things organized.” The script does not interfere with Cpanel’s daily backup feature and can be scheduled separately from it. The Cpanel FTP backup script can be downloaded at http://www.webhostgear.com/174.html for free. The Cpanel second hard drive backup feature must be enabled for the script to function properly. Did you mean to post this in 'cPanel add-ons and development'?
It is not much of a howto |
