Hi,

I followed this guide http://forum.ev1servers.net/showthread.php...&highlight=kiss and got to the bit where it said

"That's it! To get it running anywhere on the command line, you simply type:

kiss start"

Then the problems started. My DSL picked an awkward time to time out. So then when I tried to reconnect using Putty it didn't work.

I assumed the firewall would stop upon a reboot which EV1 carried out. However it still has me locked out. I cannot access WHM or CPanel. I disabled Telnet long ago.

Besides restore which I really don't want to do, does anyone have any suggestions about how to get back in.

Put in a trouble ticket and ask them to clear the firewall rules using

kiss stop

make sure and give them your root pass so they can login and type it. They are usually pretty good about stuff like this and will just go in and type it in.

Possibly try using APF, it's easy to install and very good. You can find it at rfxnetworks.com projects page. We use it on all our servers without any problems.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion dude. I had tried APF before KISS but had a little trouble with it. I got the version from their site and all is well. Thanks.
