How can i set a script to run on startup? the line i run via shell is

sudo -u USERNAME /home/username/dir/file

I need to run that each time i start the server.

hm. I've lost a machine.. literally _lost_. it responds to ping, it works completely, I just can't figure out where in my apartment it is! :)

Put the command in /etc/rc.d/rc.local. It will then run every time your server boots up, after all services are started.
