 crontab 'not found' during CP/WHM 8.5.4 backup process |

I get this block of text as one of my accounts during the backup process. All seems fine except for the "Copying crontab..." line. This is new after a CPanel upgrade. Does anyone know if this is something that means things are not being properly backed up? Or if this is something that can be easily corrected? What it means? I am new. Thanks for any help.

It looks like they do not have a cron file. Most users do not use crontab anyways and I would bet they do not. Just double check that they have not tried to setup any cron, you might not have even given them acess, because maybe cpanel messed up the file. But anyways its not a critical error as long as they don't have anything running on a cron which like I said it not normal for MOST users.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. It is very helpful.
This extracted text is just one of my users pulled as an example. All accounts being backed up have the same message. I am getting this from my daily email that cp sends. So here is what I'm getting.... since I don't have any cron jobs set up here it doesn't matter? I am guessing that this is where it would back up any cron jobs that I have associated with any account. Is that right? thanks again, Scott -------------------- ...................................

one last question...
I put directories in place to avoid the error message and got this instead: Copying Mail files....Done Copying proftpd file....Done Grabbing mysql dbs...Done Grabbing mysql privs...Done Copying mailman lists....Done Copying mailman archives....Done Copying homedir....Done Copying cpuser file.......Done Copying crontab file.......cp: omitting directory `/var/spool/cron/myAccount' Done Copying quota info.......Done Storing Subdomains.... Done Storing Parked Domains.... Done Storing Addon Domains.... Done Copying password.......Done Copying shell.......Done pkgacctfile is: /backups/cpbackup/daily/myAccount.tar.gz Creating Archive ....Done Is this because they should not be directories? Try just using "touch /filename" to create a blank file. It is looking for a filename. Hope this helps
