There is one P3 1Ghz with cPanel in our bargain basment. It has a 40GB drive and 512MB RAM for $99 a month. Would that work or are there different specs you're looking for?

No, I'm looking for a dual p4 at least, possibly 2 or 3. I would, of course, prefer a dual xeon or 3.

The lady I'm looking for has a couple of vBulletins, one of which has ~200 concurrent users, the others slightly less traffic, plus sseveral static HTML website.

As for myself, my personal vBulletin has about ~250 online avg plus a few more static sites.

I'm definitely looking to move her to a solid server and may consider moving my own stuff, but I have a huge (2+Gb database) to move, so I may not move myself just to avoid the hassle.

With as much traffic as we generate between our sites, I was also thinking of getting a dedicated MySQL server and splitting the cost with her, with 2 strong front end servers.

We do not have an ETA on when more Dell Dual Xeons with cPanel will be in stock, the Dual Xeons have been selling very quickly with this sale. If you would like you can email sales@ev1servers.net and request to be notified when more are available.

IF you are using another cpanel box the transfer can be done pretty easily.

turn on full backups on old server
turn on full backups on new server
use scp to transfer the entire /backup/cpbackup/daily/ directory to the new server
http://eth0.us/faq/scp.htm (quick scp guide)

open whm and goto restore accounts on new server. I have yet to have trouble with this as long as the account names are <8 characters. For some reason the names sometimes work on a server but cannot be recreated using this method, its wierd.

Good luck getting a new server.

Thanks for the advice, but what we are going to be doing is moving her websites which are spread all over at different hosting companies and consolidating them on a single server.

Kind of confused here. Okay, I've seen many people refer to the xeons as dual P4's, but you also mention a dual xeon in the same sentence.

There is no such thing as a dual P4. Also, you can't have an odd number of processors in SMP. The S in SMP stands for Symmetric. This requires an even number of CPUs.

Your options would be a P4 2.0GHz, or a dual Xeon 2.0GHz, when either comes available.
